Conner Hyde, born September 25, 2002, is American pianist, instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer. He began taking piano lessons at only age 8, and has been playing at the piano for over 12 years.

I’ve been recording and releasing music for 3 years
What genre would you consider your music to be?
Alternative/Instrumental
What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
After I began to realize there was more I could do with the music I made, I decided to take a big step and begin to release the songs that I wrote.
What are your biggest musical influences?
I have a lot of big influences, but I think one of my main ones is Taylor Swift. She is one of the most influential songwriters of this generation, inspiring many different songwriters of all different kinds to pursue their passion.
Are you signed to a label or are you an independent artist?
I am an independent artist.
What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
For me, it would be gaining traction. The genre that I’m in and the music that I make has a very specific niche. Not a lot of people in this generation listen to the music that I make, so it’s harder for me to gain traction and attention to my work.
How many songs or albums have you released to date?
I have released 6 albums, with over 30 songs spread throughout my catalog.
Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
My latest release is my album Midsummer, which was released in July of 2021. This album for me was meant to be a “fun”, summer-like album. All of my albums have a specific “theme” or “concept” to them, and this one has been one of my favorites to do. I have 6 songs on this record, all which fit in to this concept.
Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
So far, I’ve been on sort of a “musical hiatus”. I’ve been taking a break for myself and my mental health, but I have begun to toss around ideas and ultimately just starting up my brain again. I promise something will be coming in due time. I appreciate everybody’s patience as I work through this.
